A gentle introduction

What makes this approach different

Unlike many meditation courses, this journey is somatic-first and rooted in felt experience rather than thought. It is paced gently and rooted in body-based approaches such as breath, sensation and simple awareness of the body.

This course can be especially supportive if meditation has not felt easy for you before. Perhaps you have tried to sit still and focus on the breath but found your mind becoming busier rather than quieter. You may feel restless in your body, emotionally overwhelmed or strangely numb and disconnected. Many people discover that traditional meditation approaches focus mainly on the mind and give very little attention to the body.  HeartSomatics offers a different starting point, one that includes the body as the foundation for practice.

If you’ve ever thought “I just can’t meditate”

This course was created for you

HeartSomatics™ Foundations of Meditation is a live, trauma-aware course designed

for people who feel disconnected from themselves or who have struggled with traditional meditation approaches. This is not about clearing your mind, sitting still, or doing it “right”. It’s about learning how to meet your body where it is, and letting presence emerge naturally, without force.

What's included

Everything is designed to fit gently into your life, even during low-energy seasons.

What we'll explore together

Each week builds slowly and intentionally, creating the conditions for safety, presence and reconnection

Foundations of safety: Survival states, nervous system patterns, and how to create safety in stillness.

Regulation through connection: Co-regulation, rhythm, and breath-based restoration.

The art of somatic experiencing: Meeting emotion somatically, staying with what arises until it softens.

Working with the mind: From content to context: how to relate to thoughts with presence.

Resting into awareness: Discovering what is already here beneath effort.

Living meditation: Bringing presence into movement, relationships, and daily life.

By the end of the journey, many participants experience more presence and internal steadiness, less numbing, bracing or shutdown, increased emotional range without overwhelm. As well as a softer relationship with themselves, greater trust in their body and a meditation practice that finally feels accessible.
