There are many ways to begin this work. Some people arrive looking for a gentle sense of community and shared practice. Others are ready for deeper 1:1 somatic therapy.
Below you will find the different ways you can work with me, each designed to meet you where you are, without pressure or force.
You do not need to know which path is right. You only need to notice what feels most supportive for you right now.
Many of the people I work with have already done a great deal of inner work. They may be navigating trauma or attachment patterns, recovery, neurodivergence, or experiences that have arisen through meditation, yoga or spiritual exploration.
My work brings together somatic therapy and meditation to help people understand the patterns held in the body and begin relating to their experience in a steadier, more embodied way.

Explore ways I can support you
This is where our work begins, in that subtle pull toward reconnection, and in the quiet trust, that it’s possible to come home to yourself again. Change doesn't come from forcing yourself to be different. In somatic therapy and nervous system healing, change happens by creating the right conditions for reconnection to awaken. By meeting what is here now, so new experiences of safety, belonging and self-trust can emerge. This work isn't about fixing what's broken, it's about remembering what was never lost.
1:1 Somatic Therapy
Personalised support for deep healing and regulation
My 1:1 somatic therapy sessions offer a slow, body-led approach to healing trauma, freeze, overwhelm and emotional numbness. This work is relational, attuned and deeply respectful of your pace. We listen to the body rather than pushing for insight or change. Available online and face-to-face in Beverley, East Yorkshire.

HeartSomatics™ Foundations of Meditation
Live 6 week online course
If you’ve ever thought, “I just can’t meditate,” this somatic journey is for you. Together, we explore simple body-based practices that gently shift what’s happening in the nervous system, reconnect you with your body's wisdom, and create more ease, presence and compassion in how you respond to life. This journey is for anyone who longs to meditate but keeps feeling stuck.

This is for you if you want to stay connected to somatic practice without committing to 1:1 work, or live sessions in community, and still have tools that help your body feel safer, softer and more resourced. Healing and regulation don’t always follow a straight timeline. Sometimes you want support that feels spacious, autonomous and accessible, not scheduled, pressured or demanding. The HeartSomatics™ Library offers just that.

Spaces for connection and embodied presence
Gentle, collective space to slow down, feel and reconnect without needing to share or perform. These in-person and online gatherings are trauma-aware, somatically grounded and designed to support regulation through shared presence.

Meet Laura
Somatic wisdom for awakening, healing and aliveness
Laura Starky is the founder of the Somatic Wellness Hub and a somatic therapist with over 25 years’ experience in trauma, mental health and substance misuse. Her work draws on trauma-informed somatic therapy and non-dual contemplative wisdom, supporting adults who often have strong self-awareness yet still find themselves caught in repeating emotional patterns or nervous system overwhelm. Alongside her therapy practice, Laura teaches embodied meditation and holds small group circles that support people to reconnect with the body and integrate their experiences in everyday life.
